bmn-photography is Barbara and Maciej Noskowski, a couple of award-winning photographers, visual artists and travellers. Born, grew up and graduated from universities in Poland. Currently based in Ulm in southern Germany for the last 25 years. Maciej was a freelance photographer, photojournalist and sports pilot in Poland and later in Germany. In 2010 Barbara decided to quit her job as a design engineer and project manager in a leading German electric company, to follow their shared with Maciej passion for travel and photography. As world travellers, they visited over 60 countries, some of them repeatedly, and 16 states in the USA. America has especially inspired them with its unique aesthetics. As a "flying couple" they have many years of experience in aerial photography, taken from various air vehicles: aircrafts, gliders (both also during aerobatics), helicopters, baloons, drones and more. Their photographs have been awarded at IPA New York, IFA Tokyo or Prix de la Photographie Paris. In 2023 they won the first prize and the title of Nature Photographer of the Year at the International Photography Awards in New York City. Their photos have been published worldwide in a large variety of media ranging from books, magazins, newspapers, calendars, advertisements to music albums. Barbara and Maciej are also the authors of cover photos of books by many famous writers like Zoe Valdes, Pierre Lemaitre, Jeffrey Archer, Isaac Asimov or awarded with a 2019 Nobel Prize "Os Vagantes" by Olga Tokarczuk. Their artworks are in privat collections as well as in commercial and business interiors in the USA, Canada and Europe. The photographic interests of Barbara and Maciej are broad ranging, from travel, aerial, architecture, to fine art, abstract and minimalism. They are hunting for visual treasures, continuously experimenting and discovering new ways of expression.
